Valentable Part 1
What happens when you get three creative girls, lots of found objects, one holiday and you mix them all together? A Valentine’s Day table setting of course! A few weeks ago I met up with my interior designer friend Laurie Beth and we started dreaming up a dream Valentine’s Day table, with a few little things in mind, we 1. wanted to use objects to decorate the table that we had laying around our houses…no purchasing special plates, cups, table runners etc. Just various this & that’s from around the house 2. we had a $10 budget, which we mainly blew on flowers because flowers aren’t cheap this time of year and it’s not Valentine’s Day without flowers!
So, after scouring our homes for items (which in all fairness was a bit easier for me because I had plenty of prettiness left over from my wedding 7 months ago) we came up with a color scheme of pinks, grays, blacks, whites and reds. Today I am going to introduce the table to you and show you what we came up with, tomorrow I will go through the details with suggestions on how you can recreate parts of the table at your house for Valentine’s Day. (And there will be free invitation, menu, name card and love note downloads!)
Who said that Valentine’s Day is just for couples? There is still time to plan a lovely evening for the girls…
Our lovely friend photographer Becca Howell helped style our table, all of the photographs were taken by her and used with her permission.
Come back tomorrow for more!
