A few months back I had the pleasure of working with a fabulous team of wedding vendors organized by Sara, the editor/founder of Wedding Sparrow (a seriously lovely wedding blog, check it out!). The result of the collaboration was this out-of-this-world, beautiful shoot shot on the English country side.
I calligraphied the invitation set, menus and place cards in gray ink on cream paper in a modern romantic lettering. I love how simple the paper goods are when paired with the incredibly lovely florals by Bo Boutique Florals . …oh and that Claire Pettibone dress? Amazing!
I love all of the bright details against the earthy-tones of a gray countryside. I love how Sara kept the styling so simple – what a breath of fresh air! The photography by Aneta Mak is so beautiful. I love the way she captured all the little details of the table. I just adore this shoot! Check out the entire thing on Wedding Sparrow!
I was recently able to collaborate with my friends Sinclair & Moore Events on a lovely Kate Spade inspired shoot for Seattle Bride Magazine. The shoot featured bright colors, preppy stripes and gold details. I worked on some z-fold gold foil stamped menus for the shoot and some lovely gold calligraphy place cards. Steve Moore from Sinclair & Moore did such a lovely job styling this shoot! I love the adorable black and white striped favor boxes at each place setting with bright green silk ribbons. …also, can we talk about the sparkly gold sequin tablecloths? Yes, they were as amazing in person!
The menus are entirely gold foil stamped. Gold foil stamping is such a lovely way to print your day-of-stationery and even your invitations! It is the best way to achieve that fabulous sparkly metallic gold look. These gold foil menus were printed on hot pink cardstock. The great thing about gold foil is that it can be printed on so many fun paper colors, surfaces and textures. Plus, who doesn’t love a little gold?!
Today we are celebrating our 3rd anniversary. It’s fun to remember back to our Sweet Day in May. Something that still stands out about the day is how blessed I felt surrounded by our cherished family and friends. I also remember how lovely the day was: It was a sunny, perfect Seattle day to get married. The past three years have flown by, so it’s sweet to take a moment and remember how it all began and how incredibly blessed I am. Here’s to many more years!
