turquoise statement

My friend Sam introduced me to blog What I Wore and now I am obsessed! (Seriously, if you haven’t checked this blog out, do!) The other day I ran across a post that was so inspiring I couldn’t handle it! I love the chic southwestern outfit she put together. It’s adorable, feminine and best of all I am drooling over her turquoise necklace. I wish the nice weather would come so I could put together an outfit like this! I just need a big statement turquoise piece, which I think ties this outfit together. I have been debating about the purchase of a statement turquoise necklace and now (especially after seeing this outfit) I think I’m ready to take the plunge. Here are some of my favorite turquoise pieces out there in Internet land…

Figure 1| This one is my fav…I love love love this J Crew necklace that came out a few years ago. There are “originals” being sold on e bay right now for around $40. They are probably copies, which doesn’t worry me because this isn’t an everyday piece. I have bid on it a few times and have yet to win…but I have a feeling it will be joining my jewelry collection soon. Find the ebay version here or search JCrew turquoise necklace on ebay.

My husband and I recently rebuilt photographer Kate Price’s website and created a new brand identity for her (we have our own creative development company called Cinch). I was so happy with the results that I thought I would share it with you. Kate’s website was rebuilt to include a blog and to better showcase her beautiful work in a album format. I also recreated her logo and brand identity. Kate & I came up with the idea of stamping her business cards and other brand identity (including cd cases, letterhead, etc.). I love love love the way her business cards turned out, I feel like they are each there own little piece of art and they are even more beautiful in person! Check more of her work out here.
