running errands in style

Story of my life…run out the door only planning on making 4 quick stops, not planning on seeing anyone I know. My hair is scary, my outfit is worse and like clockwork, I run into at least 4 people I know…

My job and life consists of lots of errands and running around town…running to the printer, running to the paper store, running to the grocery story, yes, very exciting stuff like that. I normally don’t like to put much time and effort into getting all dressed up to go see the salesperson at the paper store. But inevitably the errands that were supposed to take 2 hours take all day and by the time I get home I am in the same scary outfit, so I am trying to put together easy, non fussy outfits that I can run around town in, be comfy in but also are pulled together. I think the key to keeping it simple is having one statement piece that pulls an otherwise simple out fit together. I love accessories like scarves, this one from Mod Cloth is great because it’s big and looks fancy in a dressed down way… So pull your hair up into a cute little top knot, put some thought into a simple, well accessorized outfit and out the door you go…Yes, I will be taking my own advice.

i make all things new

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5

I love this promise. Jesus Christ my Savior promises to make all things new. Never am I reminded of this promise more then in the Spring-time when it seems like life returns. As I sit here with a sweet breeze blowing in through the window, listening to birds singing outside, enjoying the signs of life that are beginning to form on the trees and in the garden, I am reminded one day all things will be made new. Spring is a tiny taste of what is to come…What an incredible promise.
