Lela Rose

Right now, I am loving the increasing trend of designers creating lines at affordable prices. Especially when there are affordable pieces right off the runway. Lela Rose took shoes from her beautiful Spring 2011 collection and created an inspired (affordable) line for Payless.

Oh, I love the pink and ombre from Lela Rose Spring 2011. I love the look of bright colors on top and nude shoes on the bottom. It makes the color look so much brighter and I think it makes your legs look longer. (not that a supermodel needs help with that!

Please note those cute little strappy black shoes on the left! I am loving the details on the shoulders. These looks are also from Lela Rose Spring 2011

I really love these colors right now. I think the translucent colors are so beautiful for Spring! I think it would be so beautiful to see a wedding with bridesmaids in all sorts of shades of light translucent colors. So pretty!

After ohhing and ahhing over Lela Rose’s Spring 2011 collection I got so excited to see that she created an oh so affordable line of shoes (some right off the runway) for Payless.

How adorable?! And the prices are so affordable!

good. brand.

Well thought out, clever branding, every company big and small needs it. This brilliant design for Invision Eyewear by Sussner Design makes me so happy. So well done.

last weekend, i fell for this skirt

Last weekend I feel in love with this brilliant pencil skirt from Anthropologie. I have been on the look out for a pencil skirt for awhile and this one pretty much lept right into my arms while I was “just popping into Anthro” while my husband went to pick up our sick (now healed, yay!) Mac from the Apple store. Yes, I’m sure he immediately regretted bringing me along…

Yes, it’s a bright skirt but I love bright colors and here in the North West I don’t think people wear enough color. Come one people color isn’t scary! So to prove it, I put together a little sample of how I would wear this adorable little skirt. I would wear it to go meet with a potential client for instance…

I invested in a chambray button up from J Crew around Christmas and I have already gotten so much use out of it. I wear it all the time with everything! I love the look of a relaxed button up tucked into a lady-like pencil skirt. The tan accessories are a great way to show up in a bright piece such a this bring orangey-red skirt without looking too Rainbow-Brite. I am loving all the orangey-corals that are popping up this Spring! I think that the turquoise necklace is a perfect subtle way to add some more texture and color to the out fit and to make it less fussy. I love turquoise, I have no idea if it’s “in” right now or not, I literally wear turquoise all the time. In my opinion in can almost act as a neutral color.

And then to complete your chic look it’s always in fashion to send a simple sweet “thank you for your time note”. I try to do so, after every meeting with a potential client. Because everyone’s time is important! If you are interested in ordering simple thank you notes (like the ones I use above) or custom thank you notes contact me!
