I love these custom “will you be my bridesmaid” cards I recently created for a bride. She was on top of things and already had the dresses picked out before she asked her girls. We were able to scan the beautiful vintage floral pattern from the dresses and use it on the cards. I then hand-lettered the names of the girls on the outside of the envelopes. I wedding will take place outdoors in a rural part of the state, I love that the cards have a feminine yet rural feel to them without being to over the top country. I just think the dress colors are too beautiful as well! Love!

I ran across this little beach bungalow over on House Beautiful awhile ago and my jaw literally dropped to the floor as I looked though every image loving each room more than the last. If I wasn’t married this is EXACTLY how my little home would look. What a perfect little bungalow designed by Krista Ewart, with loving attention paid to every little detail (eeek! There is even a Liberty of London floral bike parked outside the font!!). Some of my favorite tid-bits from the House Beautiful article are the pink (!) guest house fridge ordered from the Sears catalog (so old school I love that!) and the designers thoughts on not “…over thinking pattern color” (love that!). There are more photos over at House Beautiful…what a perfect little summer bungalow!
While flipping though the pages of one of my favorite magazines Country Living this month I ran across this brilliant idea. Creating a vinyl (thus weather proof) banner for your outdoor space for just in time for Spring/Summer entertaining! Oh my goodness, what a perfectly genius (and affordable) way to add some personality to your deck or other outdoor space. I would recommend sticking with a b&w or sepia photo as shown…I have some especially lovely vintage photographs of my grandmother this would be a fun project to use those on! The vinyl also come pre-punched with gromets for hanging, wouldn’t this be beautiful hung with a lovely ribbon
