Today we are celebrating our 3rd anniversary. It’s fun to remember back to our Sweet Day in May. Something that still stands out about the day is how blessed I felt surrounded by our cherished family and friends. I also remember how lovely the day was: It was a sunny, perfect Seattle day to get married. The past three years have flown by, so it’s sweet to take a moment and remember how it all began and how incredibly blessed I am. Here’s to many more years!
Recently I was able to work with some friends, the O’Malleys (who also happen to be incredibly talented photographers), on a styled shoot in Sun Valley at the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch. I was so thrilled with the photos, the shoot and all the beautiful details. The wedding stationery and calligraphy were inspired by a mint, emerald green and gold color palette. The cream cotton cardstock featured a gold monogram in a vintage wreath. The calligraphy on the place cards, invitations, drink menus and groom’s letter was scrolled in emerald green ink that had a watercolor feel. I lettered the table menus in gold calligraphy. I think they looked so lovely with the gold and cream vintage plates.
One of my favorite features of the invitation set was the custom ceramic tags I made to match the monogram on the paper goods. The tags were strung onto mint green silk ribbons and tied around the invitation sets. Sweet little details like that make a set unique! The other unexpected detail was the dotted pattern adorning the envelope liners. The pattern was created with the same emerald ink I used for the calligraphy. Patterns are my passion! I think the emerald ink beautifully linked all details together and made the set feel elegant yet playful.

I am thankful for so many blessings today. God’s provision has been both abundant and overwhelming this year. I am so grateful for my family; they are a source of strength and priceless friendship for both Chris and I. I am grateful for my husband who is so supportive of me and my dreams. I am grateful for our home (I love coming home to our house!). Some days I sit in my office and just thank God that he provided the perfect home for us. I am so grateful that I am an auntie to a little boy that I love to the moon and back. He makes me smile whenever I think about him and playing with him may be my favorite thing ever. I am beyond blessed by my faithful, loyal, honest friends who bring me so much joy. I am thankful for my job. I love love love my job and I am blessed to be able to do something I feel so passionately about. And I am thankful to have a Savior who loves me, died for me and loves me. Happy Thanksgiving all!
