Wedding Sparrow + la Happy

©lahappy_weddingsparrowshoot_4

A few months back I had the pleasure of working with a fabulous team of wedding vendors organized by Sara, the editor/founder of Wedding Sparrow (a seriously lovely wedding blog, check it out!). The result of the collaboration was this out-of-this-world, beautiful shoot shot on the English country side.

©lahappy_weddingsparrow_1I calligraphied the invitation set, menus and place cards in gray ink on cream paper in a modern romantic lettering. I love how simple the paper goods are when paired with the incredibly lovely florals by Bo Boutique Florals . …oh and that Claire Pettibone dress? Amazing!

©lahappy_weddingsparrow_3I love all of the bright details against the earthy-tones of a gray countryside. I love how Sara kept the styling so simple – what a breath of fresh air! The photography by Aneta Mak is so beautiful. I love the way she captured all the little details of the table. I just adore this shoot! Check out the entire thing on Wedding Sparrow!

john + jackie kennedy

Whew! It’s been a crazy week for me…My brother is getting married Saturday and I have been trying to wrap up a whole bunch of small projects before the wedding festivities begin. Since I have weddings on the brain I thought I would share some of my favorite wedding photos from John and Jackie Kennedy’s wedding…

I love this candid shot of Jacqueline Kennedy…(I also love the banister, is that weird?!)

I just think this photo is so dreamy (especially the black and white…)…Look at the way her she is holding her veil… and her dress…

I recently ran across a neat site called dear photograph, I love the old photography juxtaposed against a background from today. The captions are really interesting and give the photographs context, what a wonderful idea…I feel a project coming on!
