Kayla Barker Workshop

It was such a treat to have my stationery and calligraphy featured alongside some very talented vendors for Kayla Barker’s 2019 workshop at the gorgeous White Sparrow Barn in Texas. I love all the sweet details Melanie, the incredibly talented designer from Mayhar Design incorporated into the event design. So simple, so sophisticated, so sweet!

Canadian Winery Wedding

It was such a treat to work on Jonathan & Ashely’s Painted Rock Estate Winery wedding stationery. I worked closely with Nicole from Created Lovely Events to design day-of-stationery that captured the romantic, understated, outdoor feel of the vineyard wedding. The stationery was printed on a mix of cotton and handmade paper – we primarily gold foil stamped the paper but some of the items were also lettered by hand. I love how all of the details came together, it was such a beautiful day stunningly captured by the talented Christie Graham Photography. See the whole wedding featured on Once Wed. la Happy In Print – Seattle Met Bride & Groom

lahappy_frenchtabletop_6

It’s always fun to see your work in print, especially when the shoot is this 0ver-the-top lovely! I was recently able to be part of a tabletop styled shoot, styled by Steve Moore of Sinclair & Moore Events for Seattle Met Bride & Groom Magazine. Steve designed a table with a French Market theme (a fresh, take on French Market… which doesn’t always happen). The table featured a fresh take on toile (with a lovely toil cake by Tallant House), simple (loved how un-fluffy the tea towel look is!). French linens and day of stationery by me, la Happy, including wood menus (Yes! REAL wood) and custom navy tags with guests names calligraphed in white ink then tied around French baguettes. …and the chandeliers? Yes, they are super fabulous!

The real wood menus were stamped with a custom menu stamp… such a fabulous way to bring a clean, organic feel to your table! I love how clean and simple the table looks. It doesn’t feel fussy or over done, it’s vintage perfection! It was such a pleasure to work on this shoot. I always love trying new ideas. Someone needs to incorporate some navy with white details into their wedding STAT – it is just so beautiful!
